The Rook I Project (Project) is the largest development-stage uranium project in Canada. The new underground mine and mill development is located in the uranium-rich district of the southwestern area of the Athabasca Basin; located in Saskatchewan – a premier mining jurisdiction.
Centred around the land-based, basement-hosted Arrow Deposit – one of the world’s leading resources – the Project maintains a robust economic profile and is being developed with elite ESG commitments focused on environmental protection and maximizing community benefit through a partnership approach.
On March 5, 2026, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (“CNSC”) approved NexGen’s Environmental Assessment (“EA”) and issued a Licence to Prepare Site and Construct (the "Licence") for the Company’s 100%-owned, generational, Rook I Project. This approval comes 14 business days after the final 2-part Commission Hearing process which was concluded February 12, 2026. With Environmental Assessment (“EA”) approval from the Province of Saskatchewan received in November 2023 and receipt of all other necessary Provincial authorizations, the issuance of the Licence marks the final regulatory approval required to initiate full construction of the Project.
The Company’s NI 43-101 Feasibility Study contemplates an 11 year mine life and production of 233.6 Mlb of recovered yellowcake from Probable Mineral Reserves. The Project is currently progressing through final Federal environmental assessment and licensing.
